Mud Sills

Mud Sills

Mud sills are pieces of wood that you place beneath a scaffold footing. They prevent the settling or shifting of a scaffold structure by distributing the load at the footing across a broader area of ground. Scaffold mud sills are necessary if you erect scaffolds over surfaces other than concrete per OSHA standard 1926.451(c)(2).
