PIN-LAM 2.2E Laminated Scaffold Planks
Laminated Scaffolding, Engineered For Safety
In our patented pinning process the multiple structural members of select woods and LVL are milled to size and screw locking pins inserted, building the most functional, most durable, most consistent, and longest lasting wood scaffold planks.
The PIN-LAM 2.2E Scaffold Planks are different in that individual pieces of solid sawn lumber and vertical laminated veneer lumber (LVL) are locked together by twist-lock steel pins, creating an exceptionally strong, consistent, durable and dependable working surface. With the LVL locked in the beam and header orientation between solid woods, the strength created in PIN-LAM is much greater than regular horizontal LVL scaffold plank. Also the LVL in the vertical position provides a Traction Strip down the full length of the plank.
In both PIN-LOK and PIN-LAM most warping, twisting, end splitting and cupping is prevented due to the insertion of steel twist lock pins and the redirection of force by mixing the directions of the wood grains. As in a butcher block the multiple directions of the wood grains not only produces greater strength but greatly increases the amount of shock the scaffold planks will absorb. Compared to other engineered wood products PIN-LAM has substantial strength to weight ratio allowing a lighter plank to hold more weight giving reserve strength to support unexpected loading. The added strength reduces the risk of a catastrophic failure, plus provides a true greater safety factor.
The PIN-LAM 2.2E plank is a large step into GREEN Technology in that no old growth trees have to be harvested to manufacture the PINNED Planks
All scaffold planks from Indian Mill Can be protected with Rhino Skin sealant to give protection to planks in hostile environments.
