Indian Mill Plank offers mud sills to complement our scaffold plank products. Mud sills are pieces of wood placed beneath a scaffold footing. They prevent settling or shifting of a scaffold structure by distributing the load at the footing across a broader area of ground. They are needed where scaffolds are erected over surfaces other than concrete and are required for use with scaffolds on such surfaces by OSHA standard 1926.451(c)(2)
Indian Mill offers mud sills in 2" x 10" x 2' pieces. We have found this two foot length bundles and ships best. The mud sills may be cut back to shorter lengths as needed on site. We can provide longer lengths for cut back upon request. Use our online quote request form or call us to order your mud sills today.
NOTE: Mud Sills are NOT rated for use as scaffold plank and should never be used in place of OSHA approved plank products.
